Product license has expired???????

Here is my problem,
I downloaded the Photoshop CS4 and CS3 trial off of the Adobe site. I uninstalled them both after i was done using them. So then i went and bought Photoshop CS3 ( i got it for a good price). So i installed it, it want fine after i finished, i clicked on it to fun it and it says product license has expired. so i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it a few times and nothing. I emailed Adobe and they said the problem should be fixed so i tried again and it keeps happening. So does anyone have any ideas? that would be great

Product license has expired???????

Where did you buy CS3 from? At a great price raises a lot of red flags around these parts of the woods.

Product license has expired???????

I got it off of ebay, unopened. and what happens is when i click to open it so i can register it and put the serial number in, thats when it tells me that the product license has expired.

If you used a charge card to make this purchase, you MAY have bigger problems than getting Photoshop to work.?Contact your charge card company ASAP.

Like Q said, you are a victim of a pirate copy. Good luck.

actually im not a victom to piracy it is an actual photoshop box, with the disk, the book and was plastic sealed. I reformated my computer, and now it works fine. i didnt want to reformate it because it is alot of annoying work so i was looking for alternate ways. There most have still been some files left over from the trials somewhere on the computer. So the problem is done all it took was a reformate. So it clearly is not a pirated copy. also i made a mistake it was off of amazon.

My problem might be related-- I once used a 30 day free trial at home because our lower version at work would not do something we needed for a poster.?I continued to use the free trial product for my personal photos at home.?While I was moving across the country a few days ago (New Jersey to Nevada), something expired and now I cannot get to those photos!?I bought Photoshop 7 today but I NEED AN UNLOCK CODE FOR PHOTOSHOP 3.0.?Please, is there someone who understands what I am talking about??One of the photos is of me with one of the stars of True Blood.?I really want those photos and I would appreciate help from someone.?I have tried every phone number and have sent emails to Adobe Support areas.?Please take pity on me and tell me what to do.?Thank you in advance.

Actually, I'm sorry to say but I think they may be right. I went through the same thing a few years back when I bought a copy of Photoshop 7 on ebay. It all looked legitimate. These guys can produce very authentic looking things. The seller offered me my money back upon the mention of it being a pirate, said I didn't need to send it back, but swore it was real. i picked up elements, and now I finally have CS4 from a trusted reseller.

If you do a search on google for ''ebay pirate photoshop'', I'm sure something will come up... like this: http://community.contractwebdevelopment.com/how-identify-pirated-versions-adobe- photoshop

This is a common thing on Amazon too. Get in contact with the seller, and hopefully you paid by paypal, they might be able to get your money back. Check their other auctions, and see how many other high priced software they are selling.

Actually, hopefully we are wrong and you actually got a good deal and this is a technical problem, but I just have a feeling that its not legit.

Take care and good luck.

EDIT: Whoops I missed the part where you said you purchased through amazon. get in touch with Amazon and your credit card company (if you used one).

Re PrescottPark :

You can try a trial version of CS4 or elements to access those photos. I also think that ''Paint Shop Pro'' supports .psd files (at least it used to in version 7).

Thank you so much for your response-- but could you please break down what

you said into steps. I am not very literate in Photoshop or Adobe. I

appreciate your help.

I promise there is a message where after I see a flash of my photos, I have

to produce an ''Unlock Code.'' It is the Photoshop police. Possibly I could

do a Print Screen and send it to you.

im pretty sure my copy is fine, cause all it took was a reformat and now it works perfectly fine. Like i said i must have had some left over adobe stuff on my computer that didnt delete itself right.

The reason why it could be fake is that there are some awesome copies out there in perfect shrink wrap. E-bay is a name most posted on here where people have had the biggest problems. People loading the said software will be asked to enter the serial number and boom, the serial number won't work (a classic). There is even a stickie at the top of the forum warning people about e-bay.

Glad you got yours working. Nuking cleans out all them old cobwebs.

Do this. http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/401/kb401528.html

Rename the Adobe PCD folder

Rename the Adobe PCD folder to Adobe PCD_old in the following locations:

  • On Windows:
    \ Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD
Move the Trusted Storage File

Move the adobe_00080000.tsf.data file onto the Desktop or to another safe location from the following locations:

  • On Windows XP:
    \Documents and Settings/All Users/Application Data/FLEXnet folder
  • On Windows Vista:
    \ProgramData\FLEXnet folder

Note in the last steps I included for both XP and vista, please use the one for your OS, not both. The first step is the same for both XP,a nd Vista, which is why there are not two seperate steps.

Hope that helps.

Hi: Can you see my attch?

Hi there: are you talking to me with these directions? What does h5 mean?

Hi:?Can you see my attch?

I have printed out the directions from the link you sent me and I am

thinking I will choose Solution 3 for Window XP Home. If I gave you my

phone number, could you talk me through it? You could block your number

from me. I am on Pacific time. What do you think? I wrote that David

Powers expert on our part of the forum, but he has not written me back. Let

me know if you will be able to call me. Thanks.

Both 1 and 2 are hogwash for Vista Ultimate 64 bit. Neither adobe files mentoned are located in those areas. So don't bother looking.

You were right--I used Picasa with Google and it was able to grab all my

hostage photos from Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0. I put this answer on the

forum under the original question about the registration-- I think I am

reply/post # 27. Thank you for your help.

I wanted you to know I was successful in getting my hostage photos from

Photoshop Starter Edition 3.0 using Google's Picasa. Thank you for your

help. I put my success story on the forum - number 27 under the original

registration question.
