Would it be possible to add the ability to have and print more than 999 pages in InDesign? I know it may seem crazy but there are instances when more than 999 pages are needed in a document.

The limit in CS4 is 9999 (just short of ten thousand). Anything even that large is likely to be pretty unweildy to work with, and a huge problem waiting to happen if something goes south. I'd highly recommend breaking anything that long into sections and using the book feature

Thanks for the info. I should have known better and put the version of InDesign I was using. We are still currently running InDesign CS3. We have CS4 but have not deployed because we are a large publishing company and we haven't fully tested CS4 and our production scripts. It's nice to know that this will be rectified when we move to CS4.
You must realize there is no hope for a change in CS3.
Yes, I do realize there is no hope for a change in CS3. I can however sleep better knowing that I'll be OK once going to CS4.
