My problems have been ongoing for well over a month now.?I placed my order on June 28th for a class which I had plenty of time since this was a direct download order and a past order for dreamweaver had only taken 2 days.?Five days later and online download still wasn't ready, so I called customer support.?They tell me that their fax machine to receive student varification has been down for a week.?I felt like I was just getting the run around come on a company like Adobe allowing a fax machine to be down for that long??They suggested I scan my info and send it that way.?So I scrambled to find someplace that was open on a Holiday Weekend (Friday eve July 3)?I managed to.?I was told that if I scanned and sent my info that they could have my software download available in 1 hour, ya right.
An hour after I scanned and sent my info, I call Adobe support back since I still didn't have my download.?I was then told that whover told me one hour was wrong and that I would have to wait that they couldn't do that without supervisor approval.?I then told the person that I needed the software that I paid $600 for a class and I needed it ASAP.?The support person then hung up on me.?I then called back and got another support person on the line.?I explained to her the situation and she talked to her suppervisor and everything was straightened out as far as receiving the software to download.?Five hours of being on the phone, I finally received my download.
I thought my problems were over until I did the installation.?I downloaded and installed the CS4 Production Premium and I have Windows XP service pack 3 and I have a 64 X2 Dual core processor and plent of memory. This is my list of problems:
Flash- opens with a trial version screen even though I purchased a full version.?When I go to put my serial # in it says the serial # isn't valid but yet I was given a number and first put it in for my instal.
Illustrator- I get a error message box that reads:?The localized resource files for this application could not be loaded please reinstall.
On Location:?I get a box that pops up and says Adobe On Location has encountered a problem and needs to close.
Photoshop- I get a error message box that reads:?some of the application components are missing from the application directory, please reinstall the application.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled 4 times now, the only good thing that happens when I uninstall and reinstall is that the Flash Trial Screen gives me a new 30 days but I am afraid I am going to have a new set of problems once the days get down to 0 by reading some of the forums.?I am an IT student and I have looked through all of the files that have downloaded to try to come up with my own solution.?I have noticed in my research that the downloaded components that are working have a setup.exe file as well as a setup file.?The ones that I have mentioned above that are not working only have a setup.exe file.?I was wondering could some of the files be missing from my download??Does anyone have any suggestions that might help me fix my many problems??Thank you for your time.
My problems with CS4Are you saying you're using XP64? Did you completely remove the trials before installing?

My problems with CS4No, My system says that I have Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 with service pack 3.?I have an hp with a 64 X2 dual core processor 3800+ 1.8 GHz, 2.93 GB RAM and I have plenty of room available.?Sorry for the confusion.?I almost forgot to say that I never had any CS4 trials of Production Premium I should say.?I ordered a full version right off the bat, so that is why I don't understand why I am getting a trial version screen.?Now I did have a trial version of Dreamweaver CS4 which I had uninstalled and upgraded that with no problem a few months ago but the Dreamweaver isn't even a part of this suite so I wouldn't think it would effect it.
Any trial version can cause problems. Try running the CS4 Cleanscript. Be sure to deactivate Dreamweaver first.

Well I tried this over the weekend and this didn't work.?I printed the read me instructions for the clean script and followed everything to a T.?I still have the same problems.?I have a feeling with all the problems that many people are having this that I am just going to give my computer to my husband's IT guy at work and let him take care of it for me.?And I may add that my husband's company that he works for just purchased a few hundred copies of the same software only they ordered the discs to be shipped to them.?My husband's IT guy said my computer can be his experiment for the headache's he has a feeling he will soon be working with.
