Recording in reverse

I'm trying to record a backwards guitar track.?Is there a way to record in reverse (meaning, so I could hear all my other tracks playing backwards as I record the guitar track)??My current solution is to make a mixdown all my other tracks, reverse it in another program, bring it in to a new Audition project, record the guitar track, then reverse that guitar track in another program, re-import it to Audition, then line it up with my original project.?I'm hoping there's an easier way...?On my old four-track recorder, I just had to flip the tape!?Thanks! Recording in reverse

That seems like a faster solution, but I might still have to try to line up the guitar part if I didn't start recording at the beginning of the track (or, in this case, I'd probably have to let it run the whole track).?Is there anyway to set Audition to record in reverse??If I could just set my time indicator (sorry, not sure of the terminology) at the spot where my guitar solo would be finished, then hit record and have the time indicator start moving in reverse, I might not even have to do the mixdown workaround.?Essentially, this would play/record in reverse and when played forward again it would have the desired effect.?Thanks again!

The laws of physics prevent you from recording backwards unless you know a way to reverse time

What SteveG said... Just go into edit view on the track you want reversed and mark a start and end point with cue points then go into multi-track and mark the start and end using the cue points from the clip as a guide. Then go into edit view again and reverse the track and then go to multi-track and line up the cue points... \o/ Yeah... I think that would work...

[edit] you would have to mark it in the mixdown and the track you want reversed then flip them both and then line it up I think... Hmm... Or am I upside down now
