Using Outline

I am new to Illustrator and have a question about using the outline feature.?Everything is good until I try to grab the anchor points.?It moves the entire letter which is not what I want.?Please advise.?Thanks.

Using Outline

Use the Direct Select tool (white arrow). First select nothing, then click on the letter you want to edit.

Using Outline

You can see which anchor points are selected and not selected.?The selected points will be filled in, while the points that are not, will be hollow.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I'm getting the same result. When I try and drag the anchor point it is moving the entire letter. I'm obviously missing a step but don't know which one it is. Any thoughts?

See post two. Using the DIrest Select tool (Open Arrow) click and hold on the anchor point you want and then drag.

Did you ''create outlines'' from your text or are you attempting to manipulate live type (not possible.) in outline mode?
